Zeo-Feed has the following advantages:
- Increased moisture retention: Zeolite can hold up to 55% of its weight in moisture, helping to maintain optimal moisture levels in the feed pellets during the pelletizing process.
- Improved pellet quality: The addition of zeolite (0.5% to 1%) allows for increased steam and temperature at the dies, reducing resistance and improving pellet formation. This leads to more durable and higher-quality pellets.
- Higher plant throughput: Zeolite helps to enhance gelatinization and reduce friction, allowing for up to 35% higher plant throughput without increasing power costs.
- Reduced binder usage: Zeolite can replace a portion of the traditional binder, such as bentonite, reducing the need for binder additives by replacing 3 to 5% of bentonite with 0.5% to 1% zeolite.
